Ridgefield Park, NJ (May 15, 2025) – Early Wednesday morning, a serious crash disrupted traffic along Interstate 80 east in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 4:18 a.m. on May 15, near milepost 68 at the exit 68A ramp. According to New Jersey State Police, the collision involved two passenger vans and two tractor-trailers.
The crash began when the two vans collided. The force of the initial impact set off a chain reaction that caused the two nearby tractor-trailers to lose control and jackknife across the road. The resulting wreckage blocked multiple lanes and significantly delayed early-morning commuters traveling through the area.
A total of 17 people were involved in the crash. Out of those, six individuals sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening. Emergency personnel arrived quickly, assessed the injured, and transported them to local hospitals for further treatment and care.
