Sicklerville, NJ (October 13, 2025) – A devastating two-vehicle crash late Sunday night, October 12, left one person dead and two others seriously injured in Sicklerville.
According to the Gloucester Township Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. when a sedan traveling on Berlin Cross Keys Road toward the Black Horse Pike struck an SUV at the intersection of Johnson Road. The impact caused both vehicles to become heavily damaged, trapping all three occupants inside.
Firefighters from multiple departments, including Gloucester Township, Winslow, and Lambs Terrace, arrived to assist with the rescue. Crews used specialized tools to extricate the trapped individuals while paramedics provided immediate medical aid.
Emergency medical personnel responded to stabilize the scene and care for the injured. The SUV carried two occupants, while the sedan was driven by a single individual.
All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, the driver of the SUV later succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of first responders and hospital staff. The remaining two individuals sustained serious injuries and are receiving continued medical care.
Authorities closed the intersection for several hours as they conducted a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the crash. At this time, no criminal charges have been filed.
The Gloucester Township Police Department urged all drivers to remain vigilant, follow posted speed limits, and obey traffic signals to prevent tragedies like this from occurring.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and wish a full recovery to those injured.
Car Accidents in New Jersey
Car accidents across New Jersey continue to be a leading cause of serious and fatal injuries. High-speed intersections are particularly dangerous because of limited visibility, fast-moving traffic, and frequent signal violations.
When a collision occurs, the consequences can be life-altering. Victims may face extensive medical treatment, emotional trauma, and financial burdens that affect their families for years. In fatal accidents, surviving family members may have the right to file a wrongful death claim to pursue justice and financial relief.
Common causes of serious crashes in New Jersey include:
- Distracted driving and cellphone use
- Speeding or running red lights
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Fatigue and reckless driving behaviors
Victims of severe crashes often need immediate legal representation to ensure their rights are fully protected. An experienced wrongful death attorney can investigate the cause of the collision, collect and preserve crucial evidence, communicate directly with insurance companies, and pursue the maximum compensation available for medical expenses, lost wages, pain, and emotional suffering.
Having knowledgeable legal guidance helps victims focus on recovery while ensuring that no important detail of their case is overlooked.
