Summit, NJ – 1 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Glenside Ave & W R Tracy Dr

Summit, NJ (October 29, 2025) – A 64-year-old man sustained injuries after being trapped inside his vehicle following a multi-vehicle collision late Tuesday morning, October 28, at the intersection of Glenside Avenue and West R Tracy Drive in Summit.

According to Summit Police, officers and firefighters responded to the crash around 10:30 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency crews found one of the drivers trapped inside his vehicle and immediately began rescue efforts. Firefighters with the Summit Fire Department worked quickly to free the man from the wreckage.

Once rescued, the injured man was taken to Overlook Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of a possible neck injury. Authorities confirmed that both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene following the investigation.

The intersection was temporarily closed while emergency crews cleared debris and assisted those involved, but it has since reopened to traffic. Officials have not confirmed the exact cause of the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing.
