New Jersey Car Crashes
Car accidents continue to be one of the most common reasons people lose their lives in the state of New Jersey. Each year, countless individuals are sent to the hospital with injuries, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and broken bones due to auto accidents. A lot of these collisions take place at crowded intersections throughout the state of New Jersey.
Auto accidents happen at intersections for a multitude of reasons. One main cause is driver error. Running red lights, stop signs, not using turn signals, and failing to yield the right-of-way. Other times, it may simply be a matter of inattention and not being able to react in a timely manner.
Another common cause of auto accidents at intersections is when one driver attempts to make it through the yellow light at the last minute and t-bones another vehicle that may already be passing through the intersection. These types of crashes are especially tragic and dangerous because neither vehicle has enough time to react to avoid the collision.
Inclement weather can also contribute to auto accidents. If it’s snowing, foggy, or raining, drivers’ visibility may be reduced, upping the chance of accidents. Slick roads can also be a problem making it difficult to stop in a safe amount of time.
