The incident took place shortly before midnight, at approximately 11:53 p.m., just north of Interchange 11 near the Garden State Parkway.

According to state traffic officials, two vehicles collided in the southbound lanes, resulting in a significant disruption to traffic. Emergency responders from the Woodbridge Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police, and local EMS quickly arrived on the scene. Firefighters assisted in extricating at least one individual from a vehicle, while EMS transported the injured party to a nearby hospital for treatment.
