Tractor-Trailer Accidents in Bethlehem Township

Bethlehem Twp, NJ – Serious Injuries in Crash with Entrapment on I-78 Near Exit 7 Rest AreaCrashes involving tractor-trailers are often severe due to the massive size and weight of these vehicles. When a car collides with a parked truck, especially on highways like I-78, the force of impact can cause life-threatening injuries. Sadly, these types of crashes are common in New Jersey and across the country.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that thousands of people are injured or killed each year in accidents involving large trucks. Whether moving or stationary, tractor-trailers pose significant risks in high-speed areas. Here are common factors that contribute to truck-related crashes:

  • Driver Fatigue: Truck drivers on long hauls may experience slowed reaction times due to exhaustion.
  • Poor Visibility: Parked trucks on road shoulders may be difficult to spot, especially around curves or in low light.
  • Speeding: Drivers moving too fast may not be able to stop in time to avoid a stationary vehicle.
  • Mechanical Failures: Brake issues or lighting failures can make trucks harder to avoid.
  • Improper Parking: If a truck is stopped in a non-designated area, it may become a serious road hazard.

When victims are seriously injured in truck accidents, they may face long hospital stays, surgeries, lost income, and ongoing medical needs. A dedicated truck accident attorney can help investigate the crash, determine fault, and pursue compensation.
