Bicycle accidents involving pedestrians can result in serious injuries, especially when the pedestrian is struck by a cyclist traveling at higher speeds.

While bicycles are generally less likely to cause injury than motor vehicles, the impact from a bike can still be significant, particularly if the cyclist loses control or does not give the pedestrian the right of way.

Head injuries are a common concern in pedestrian accidents. Even a seemingly minor blow to the head can cause lasting damage, including concussions or brain trauma. In some cases, head injuries may require long-term medical care, including surgeries, rehabilitation, and cognitive therapy.

Pedestrian accidents in Jersey City are unfortunately not uncommon, particularly in busy areas near intersections or high-traffic streets.
