Bedminster, NJ (June 11, 2026) – A Corvette left the road and struck a tree on Meadow Road near the Bedminster-Bridgewater border early Wednesday morning, June 10. As a result, the driver, a 27-year-old man, was killed and a passenger was hospitalized. Bedminster Police said the wreck happened at approximately 3 a.m.
Officials said Noah Maitland, of Randolph, was driving a 1979 Corvette westbound on Meadow Road when the vehicle failed to navigate a curve, according to a preliminary investigation. The car left the roadway, climbed an embankment, hit a tree, and came to rest in the woods. Maitland was ejected from the vehicle.
Maitland was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries. His passenger, a 25-year-old man from Bridgewater, was also brought to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are still working to determine the full circumstances of the collision.
