What Should Motorcyclists Know About Injury Claims in Woodbridge Township, NJ?

Motorcycle Crash Injures Rider on Rte 440

Motorcyclists injured in New Jersey may have options for seeking compensation when another driver's conduct contributed to a wreck. State law requires drivers on marked roadways to remain within their lane when practicable and to make a lane movement only after determining that it can be completed safely.

After a motorcycle collision, injured people should preserve as much evidence as possible. Photos of the vehicles, road, shoulder, traffic signs, and visible damage can help document what happened. Medical records, hospital bills, witness contact information, video footage, and insurance documents may also be useful to provide additional information about the circumstances.

Insurance companies typically review available evidence when evaluating an injury claim. Adjusters may examine photographs, medical records, statements from drivers and witnesses, vehicle damage, video footage, and other documentation to assess how the collision occurred and what losses are being claimed.

Because insurers may reach conclusions based on the information they receive, keeping organized records and providing accurate documentation can help create a clearer record of the claim.

In these cases, a motorcycle accident lawyer can review available evidence, insurance coverage, medical records, and information about how the vehicles were positioned before the collision.
