Key Information to Exchange After a Crash in Tinton Falls, NJDriver Hurt in Crash on Garden State Pkwy

Drivers involved in a roadway incident on highways like the Garden State Parkway are expected to exchange names, contact information, insurance details, and vehicle registration numbers with the other driver involved.

New Jersey law also requires drivers to notify police when a crash results in injury, death, or significant vehicle damage. It also helps support an insurance claim later on to take photos of vehicle positions, damage, and any visible road conditions.

After a rollover or multi-vehicle wreck, drivers and passengers usually deal with whiplash, back strain, or other soft-tissue injuries that aren't always apparent right away. Missing or incomplete information exchanged at the scene can make it harder to sort out medical bills, lost wages, and vehicle repair costs once a claim is filed.

Insurance companies tend to request documentation from the scene, such as driver statements and contact information, which can affect how quickly a claim moves forward. A car accident lawyer can review what was exchanged after a crash and help fill in gaps if records are incomplete or if a driver failed to provide accurate information.

At Metro Law, we work with drivers across New Jersey who need help understanding their next steps. Our team can go over your available documentation matters most for your possible claim.
