
Atlantic City, NJ (October 4, 2024) – A fatal bicycle crash occurred on Wednesday, October 2, claiming the life of a 57-year-old male bicyclist from Atlantic City. The incident took place around 12:59 PM in the 100 block of N Maryland Avenue. The Atlantic City Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Upon arrival, patrol officers found the severely injured cyclist at the scene. Despite the rapid response from the Atlantic City Fire Department and emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics worked diligently to provide immediate care, but unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to save him.
The driver involved in the incident, a 40-year-old female from Mount Laurel, NJ, remained on the scene and is cooperating fully with the police investigation. Authorities have confirmed that no charges have been filed against her at this time, as the investigation continues.
Traffic in the area was temporarily diverted while police conducted their investigation and ensured the safety of all involved. The Atlantic City Fire Department also assisted in controlling the situation and managing any hazards on the road.
