Bridgewater, NJ (April 10, 2026) – A driver suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash on Thursday morning, April 9, on Route 202 in Bridgewater. The collision occurred near the intersection with Milltown Road.
Emergency units responded around 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a two-vehicle accident. Bridgewater Police Department said a car was traveling south in the left lane when it suddenly veered left while approaching the intersection.
The vehicle crossed over the grass median and entered the northbound lanes. It then struck a van head-on in the left lane, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Firefighters removed the driver of the car from the wreckage. The driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment.
Two passengers in the same car sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The driver and passenger inside the van did not report injuries.
