Bridgewater, NY – Babcock Hill Rd Scene of Car Crash near East St

Bridgewater, NY (July 9, 2024) – Police in Bridgewater responded to the scene of a car accident at around 9:30 on July 7. The wreck reportedly occurred between two people on Babcock Hill Road, near East Street. A 2021 Jeep was headed south on East Street, approaching a stop sign at the intersection with Babcock Hill Road while a Volkswagen Jetta was headed east on Babcock Hill. Preliminary reports show the two cars collided at the intersection, causing injuries to both drivers. The driver of the Jeep was transported to Wynn Hospital with injuries while the other driver was air-lifted to Upstate Hospital. 

Local law enforcement officials worked on-scene to clear the debris. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
