Bronx, NY - Fatal Crash on W 192 St near University Ave

Bronx, NY (May 28, 2024) - A scooter accident took the life of one person in the Bronx on May 28. At around 12:14 p.m., responders were sent to the accident scene on West 192nd Street near University Avenue. A vehicle and a scooter crashed, causing two people to become trapped in the wreckage. Fire crews and EMS were seen working to free the victims at the scene. Records show that one person lost their life on impact, though their name has not been reported. Police stayed on-site for some time, causing significant traffic delays. Police in the Bronx continue to investigate.
