Bronx, NY (January 23, 2024) – A structure fire ended in injuries in the Bronx on the night of January 22. 

Multiple responders were dispatched to the incident scene in the 1000 block of Boynton Avenue. Information provided by local officials shows the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on the second floor of a building near Watson Avenue. Fire crews battled the flames at the location for an extended period. Two civilians received medical care, one with minor and one with major injuries. Two additional fire trucks were requested at the scene after fire crews declared a second alarm. Police redirected traffic away from the area while fire crews worked to douse the flames and help injured victims. Currently, those with injuries have not been identified. A total of three civilians and three firemen suffered injuries in the fire. 

Police in the Bronx continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
