New York Structure Fires
Every year, structure fires in New York cause numerous fire-related injuries and deaths. When a building catches fire, people inside may sustain injuries related to smoke inhalation and thermal burns, and they may even lose their lives. Building occupants may also sustain injuries when they inhale dangerous chemicals released by burning materials.
If you were injured in a fire, it is possible that the negligence of another person caused your injuries. A large percentage of house and apartment fires are due to the landlord or property owner’s failure to maintain their property or negligent approach regarding the safety of their residents.
Burn injuries that result from explosions are not uncommon in industrial or motor vehicle accidents. In these and many other types of accidents, you may be eligible to hold an entity, individual, or both accountable for your injuries.
Oftentimes, people suffer these sorts of injuries due to the careless and negligent actions of landlords, property owners, product manufacturers, contractors, and building managers. When this is the case, they may qualify for financial compensation when they file a personal injury claim with the help of a caring and qualified Brooklyn personal injury attorney.
These claims allow injured individuals to collect full and fair compensation for medical costs, wage loss, and more. Sometimes, injured parties can contact a personal injury lawyer to get the justice they deserve.
