Brooklyn, NY – Bus vs Car Crash Injures 15, One Critically on Essex St near New Lots Ave
Brooklyn, NY (May 30, 2023) – A collision involving an MTA bus and numerous other vehicles happened in Brooklyn on Sunday, May 28. The incident left over a dozen individuals with injuries and one woman in critical condition, officials reported.
The scene unfolded at around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Essex Street and New Lots Avenue in East New York. A bus crashed with other vehicles, police said.
At least six other vehicles were ensnared among the wreckage, NYPD reported. Reports also stated that at least 15 people sustained injuries when the bus was t-boned at the intersection.
A 44-year-old woman was promptly transported to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition after she was found unresponsive in a sedan at the scene. Her name has not been reported at this time.
Authorities in Brooklyn continue to investigate the details of the collision.
