Burlington County, NJ – Maria Irgui Dead After Collision on New Jersey Tpke near Milepost 55.8
Burlington County, NJ (November 27, 2023) – A woman from Massachusetts, age 75, lost her life and two others were hurt on Sunday in a two-car crash. The wreck occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County at approximately 2:30 a.m., police report. The deceased victim was identified as Maria Irgui. She was a passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended in the southbound lanes of the turnpike near milepost 55.8. Both vehicles were pushed into the center median by the collision, reports said. Irgui, a resident of Attleboro, was pronounced deceased on-site. The man who caused the crash stayed at the scene and worked with authorities. He sustained minor injuries.
Authorities in Burlington continue to investigate.
