New York Car Wrecks
Car crashes happen in New York constantly. On average, the city sees more than 800 car accidents per day that cause over 200 people to become injured. Sadly, thousands of people end up losing their lives in these wrecks each year. Across the nation, more than 7,500 individuals are hurt in car wrecks daily, while over 100 lose their lives. Auto accidents are a leading cause of injuries and death throughout the country and are often caused by the negligence of drivers.
Driver negligence is the main cause of car crashes in the United States. Specifically, driver distraction causes the majority of these wrecks. In fact, over 400,000 vehicle accidents are caused by the actions of distracted drivers every year. Drivers have more reasons than ever to become distracted these days, however, they are most often distracted by their cell phones. Though some drivers may think it is ok to look down at their phone for mere seconds while behind the wheel, this is never the case, and can lead to severe injuries or even death for the people involved.
