Chesterfield Twp, NJ (May 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Friday morning, May 9, resulted in at least one person injured and significant traffic delays near Interchange 7 in Chesterfield Township.
According to reports from New Jersey 511, the accident occurred on the southbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike just north of the interchange with US-206. The crash, which happened around 3:00 a.m., blocked both the right and center lanes, creating hazardous conditions for early morning commuters and requiring immediate response from emergency services.
Preliminary investigations indicate that two vehicles collided under still-unclear circumstances. The impact left at least one person injured.
