Clayton, NJ – Thomas Pitt Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Delsea Dr near Earl Ave
Clayton, NJ (May 8, 2023) – A motorcyclist identified as Thomas Pitt, 73, lost his life after a collision with a vehicle in Gloucester County, Clayton. The wreck occurred on Saturday night, May 6, according to reports.
A woman from Deptford was traveling south on Delsea Drive in her car just after 7:30 p.m. when she tried to make a U-turn near Earl Avenue, police said. The vehicle collided with Pitt’s motorcycle, causing him to sustain life-threatening injuries.
Pitt was transported to an area medical center and later taken by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he later passed away. The driver of the vehicle, age 25, suffered head and shoulder trauma and was transported to another hospital for treatment.
Police in Clayton are working to determine the cause of the collision at this time.
