Deer Park, NY (July 16, 2025) – A man died early Monday morning in a rollover crash that also injured another person in Deer Park.

The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on Grand Blvd. Police say 56-year-old Anthony Guglielmo was driving a Mini Cooper when it collided with a westbound Jeep.

The impact caused Guglielmo’s vehicle to roll over. Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported both drivers to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.

Guglielmo, a Deer Park resident, later died from his injuries. The Jeep’s driver, 37-year-old Stefanie Russo, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Authorities have not yet said what caused the crash. The investigation is still ongoing. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Guglielmo’s loved ones and wish Russo a smooth and full recovery.

Rollover Accidents in Suffolk County

Deer Park, NY – One Killed, One Injured in Rollover Crash on Grand BlvdRollover crashes are among the most severe types of car accidents, often resulting in serious injuries or fatalities. These incidents typically involve a vehicle flipping onto its side or roof after a high-impact collision, as seen in the recent crash on Grand Blvd in Deer Park.

In Suffolk County and throughout New York, rollover accidents often occur due to speeding, distracted driving, or sudden lane changes. The risk increases when smaller vehicles like Mini Coopers collide with larger SUVs or trucks. Here are the common causes of rollover crashes:

  • High Speeds: Fast-moving vehicles are more likely to roll over when they hit an obstacle or another car.
  • Side-Impact Collisions: Striking a vehicle from the side can cause the struck vehicle to overturn.
  • Sharp Turns or Swerving: Quick maneuvers can throw a vehicle off balance, especially if the tires lose traction.
  • Uneven Road Conditions: Curbs, slopes, or potholes can contribute to rollovers when hit at the wrong angle.
  • Vehicle Type: Taller vehicles like SUVs and trucks are more prone to tipping in a crash.

Victims of rollover crashes often suffer from broken bones, head trauma, or spinal injuries. Families grieving a fatal loss may also face funeral costs, lost income, and emotional suffering. A skilled car accident attorney can help investigate what went wrong and guide victims or their families through the legal process.
