Elizabeth, NJ – Juan Carlos Killed in Collision on East Grand St near Spring St
Elizabeth, NJ (December 11, 2023) – A taxi driver identified as 54-year-old Juan Carlos lost his life along with his passenger in a fatal traffic crash in Elizabeth. Reports from authorities show the accident happened at the corner of East Grand Street near Spring Street early Monday, December 11. Video footage from the scene shows a Hyundai ran a red light and collided with the taxi head-on. Sources say there was a police chase, however, police report that they were not exactly chasing the Hyundai, as they were far back when the collision occurred.
Police in Elizabeth are investigating.
