Farmington, NY – Motorcyclist Killed Following Two-Vehicle Crash on Rte. 332

Farmington, NY (August 4, 2023) – A motorcyclist is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Farmington on Thursday, August 3rd. The accident took place at the intersection of Route 332 and Collett Road.

Officials say that 43-year-old Joshua P. Arena was the victim of the accident. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Arena was riding his motorcycle on Route 332 when he approached and entered the intersection. At the same time, an 18-year-old woman from Farmington was operating her car on Collett Road. The woman tried to make a southbound turn onto Route 332 but collided with Arena’s bike.

Arena suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. Following an investigation, the 18-year-old woman was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to play a role in the collision.

Police closed the road for several hours while the crash was investigated. During this time, drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
