Hewitt, NJ (June 3, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Warwick Turnpike and Lake Shore Drive intersection left a 30-year-old New York man dead on Sunday evening, May 30. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office rushed to the scene around 6 p.m.
Officials said the crash involved a Dodge Charger and a Nissan Pathfinder. The Dodge driver was airlifted to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the following day. The Nissan driver, a 28-year-old Hewitt man, was also taken to the hospital and later released.
There are no details about what led to the wreck. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
