Manhattan, NY – Four Hurt in Bus Crash on E 74th St near 1st Ave

Manhattan, NY (July 5, 2024) – A bus crash happened in Manhattan on the evening of July 5. At approximately 7:36 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of East 74th Street near 1st Avenue. Reports show that a city bus collided with a tree.

Police requested additional units at the crash site to assist with potential injuries. The bus driver was pinned in the bus due to the accident, so he had to be extricated by emergency crews. Additionally, four people sustained injuries. Three ambulances were seen at the crash site, along with police and fire crews. The injured were taken to local medical facilities for further care. Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the incident.
