Manhattan, NY (March 5, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian crash happened in Manhattan on March 1. At around 10:30 p.m., emergency responders including police and EMTs were dispatched to the wreck site to render aid and investigate. According to local reports, the incident occurred on Avenue D near East 10th Street when a man identified as Shawn Gooding tripped and fell into the street near the intersection. The rear-end of a double-length MTA bus that was turning left then struck Gooding, taking his life.
