Car Crashes in Marlboro
Suffering serious injuries in a car crash can be an overwhelming and traumatic experience. You may be suffering from painful injuries that are debilitating in nature, keeping you from going back to work or engaging in social activities that you enjoy. You may even be unable to complete average daily tasks due to the extent of your injuries, which can be extremely stressful and even devastating.
Alarmingly, the majority of car crashes that happen in the United States and throughout the state of New Jersey are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. In today’s world, numerous forms of negligent driving exist, including but not limited to:
- Distraction
- Fatigue
- Intoxication
- Speeding
Unfortunately, a lot of drivers engage in these dangerous, selfish actions. On average, the United States sees approximately 17,000 car crashes reported per day. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that four out of five car crashes reported are caused by negligent driving. This means that well over 10,000 accidents per day are caused by driver negligence.
Currently, the most commonly seen form of driver negligence in the United States is distracted driving. Drivers who choose to look down at their phones, at other people in the vehicle, at the radio, or at their GPS, for example, put themselves and everyone around them at severe risk of sustaining life-changing injuries or even fatalities.
