Neptune Twp, NJ – Driver Injured in Box Truck Collision on Rte 33

Neptune Township, NJ (January 13, 2026) – A serious crash occurred on Saturday, January 10, when a box truck made an illegal left turn out of a 7-Eleven on Route 33 in Neptune Township. The truck cut across four lanes of traffic, striking a vehicle driven by Campisano, who was returning home after visiting her father at the hospital. Despite her best efforts to avoid the crash, Campisano ended up underneath the truck.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and rushed Campisano to the intensive care unit with a traumatic brain bleed. Her injuries were severe, and she required immediate medical care. The accident, which occurred on a busy section of Route 33, created significant traffic delays as authorities worked to secure the area and assist the injured.

Investigators are reviewing the circumstances of the crash and gathering information on the driver’s actions. New Jersey Police have not released additional details about the driver’s identity or whether any citations have been issued.

Our thoughts are with Campisano as she begins her recovery.

What Compensation Can You Seek After a Crash In New Jersey?Driver Injured in Box Truck Collision on Rte 33

After a serious accident in New Jersey, you may be eligible to seek various types of compensation for your injuries and losses: medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and, in some cases, property damage.

Medical expenses are often the primary compensation sought after an injury. You can seek compensation for hospital bills, surgeries, medications, rehabilitation, and ongoing care required as a result of your accident.

Lost wages are another common area of compensation. If the injury prevents the victim from working, they can seek compensation for income lost during their recovery. This can also cover future lost earning potential if the injury has long-term effects on the person’s ability to return to their job.

Pain and suffering compensation may also be pursued. This type of compensation addresses the physical and emotional distress caused by the injury. It includes the pain endured during recovery, the impact on daily life, and the emotional toll of dealing with a traumatic injury.

In cases where the driver’s actions were reckless or negligent, as in the case of the box truck driver’s illegal turn, additional punitive damages may be available. These are meant to punish the at-fault party for their conduct and deter similar behavior in the future.

You may also be entitled to compensation for property damage, especially if their vehicle was involved in the accident. Repair or replacement costs can be included in the claim.

You may want to speak with a truck accident lawyer after an accident. A lawyer can help evaluate the claim, ensure all necessary documentation is gathered, and explain what types of compensation may be available based on the severity of the injury and other factors.
