New Brunswick, NJ – Maria Passalaris Loses Life in Wreck on Hwy 1 near Ridge Rd
New Brunswick, NJ (April 18, 2024) – One woman lost her life in a traffic collision that happened in New Brunswick on April 12. Reports concerning the accident show it occurred on Highway 1 near Princeton. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Maria Passalaris. The incident involved five vehicles, including a tractor-trailer that caused the crash that occurred near Ridge Road. The semi-truck was transporting a concrete slab when it struck a van at an intersection, causing both vehicles to catch fire. The van then struck two other vehicles. The van was owned by Community Options, an Organization out of Princeton that provides day programs to people with disabilities. The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital.
Police in New Brunswick continue to investigate.
