Newark Valley, NY – Passenger Killed in Collision on Bailey Hollow Rd

Newark Valley, NY (June 24, 2024) – A fatal car accident occurred in Newark Valley on the morning of June 23. The collision took place at around 12:55 a.m. when police officers responded to the scene on Bailey Hollow Road. Reports show the vehicle was being operated by a 17-year-old headed east on Bailey Hollow Road when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver and three passengers were transported to Wilson Hospital after the crash. One passenger, Connor VanZile, 18, lost his life due to the extent of his injuries. Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
