Paterson, NJ (September 14, 2023) - A teenage girl lost her life in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Paterson’s 3rd Ward on Wednesday, September 14. Police say the accident occurred at around 3:00 a.m.
According to preliminary reports, it occurred on 17th Avenue near East 33rd Street. The details of the collision have not been reported at this time.
Paramedics transported the girl and two 16-year-old boys to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. One boy received treatment for a broken foot before he was released, and the second boy did not report any injuries.
Sources say the girl lost her life after arriving at the hospital. Their names have not been reported at this time.
Authorities in Paterson continue to investigate the details of the collision.
