Rochester, NY (August 12, 2024) – A dirt bike rider was hospitalized after a collision with a car at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Ridge Road on Saturday evening, August 10.

The Rochester Police Department reports that the incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. when an unregistered dirt bike ran a red light and struck the side of a car. The rider, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The two occupants of the car were also transported to the hospital as a precaution. The dirt bike rider has been issued several traffic tickets as a result of the incident. The local police are currently investigating the reasons leading to the crash.
