Staten Island, NY (May 23, 2023) – A serious car crash happened in Staten Island on the evening of May 23. At approximately 7:20 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident to render aid and determine the cause of the crash.
Sources report the wreck occurred on the Staten Island Expressway between Clove Road and Targee Street. An unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area, resulting in injuries and traffic delays.
Three lanes of the roadway were closed while crews worked to help the injured victims and transport them to local hospitals. Local drivers were urged to use different routes of travel for the time being.
