South Brunswick, NJ – Two-Car Accident Injures Father & Son on Rt 1 at Rt 522
South Brunswick, NJ (December 5, 2022) – A truck that reportedly ran a red light on Route 1 was hit by a car in South Brunswick on Wednesday, December 1, causing injuries. The accident happened at around 10:30 p.m.
Police reported that trucker Rusian Namuyk, 49, from New York, was going home when he went through the light at Route 522 on Route 1 and was struck by a westbound Honda Accord.
The sedan’s driver, a man from South Brunswick, age 58, and his two 16-year-old sons were sent to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
The teens were seriously injured in the collision, while the father suffered cuts and bruises. Their identities have not been disclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
