Staten Island, NY – 92-Year-Old Woman Hit by SUV on Hylan Blvd & Allison Ave, Critical Condition

Staten Island, NY (December 6, 2024) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred on Wednesday evening when a 92-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross the street on Hylan Blvd at the intersection of Allison Ave. The incident was reported by the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad (CIS) at approximately 8:30 p.m.

According to the NYPD, the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a Honda Pilot. Multiple vehicles reportedly swerved to avoid hitting the woman before the crash occurred. The driver of the Honda Pilot remained at the scene, and the crash is still under investigation. At this time, it remains unclear whether the woman was using the crosswalk when the accident took place.

Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene. The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities managed the situation, controlling traffic and ensuring the safety of those nearby during the investigation.
