Motorcycle Accidents in Tewksbury

Tewksbury, NJ – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash with Car on Rte 517Tewksbury’s winding roads, like Rte 517, are popular among local drivers and motorcyclists alike. However, these scenic routes can also be dangerous. Motorcycle accidents often result in serious injuries, even when safety gear is worn. The lack of protection puts riders at greater risk than those in passenger vehicles.

In New Jersey, motorcycle crashes are unfortunately common. According to state data, hundreds of riders are injured every year in collisions involving cars. Many of these incidents happen on two-lane roads or in rural areas. Here are some of the most frequent causes of motorcycle accidents:

  • Distracted Drivers: Car drivers may fail to notice motorcyclists when turning or changing lanes.
  • Left-Turn Accidents: Many crashes occur when cars make sudden left turns in front of motorcycles.
  • Following Too Closely: Rear-end collisions can be deadly for motorcyclists, even at low speeds.
  • Potholes and Debris: Road hazards that cars can handle may cause a motorcycle to crash.
  • Limited Visibility: Smaller motorcycles are harder to see in a driver’s blind spot or during poor weather.

Motorcycle accident victims often face long recoveries, medical costs, lost income, and emotional distress. If someone else’s negligence caused the crash, the injured party may have the right to pursue compensation. A knowledgeable motorcycle accident attorney can help victims gather evidence, negotiate with insurers, and build a strong case for damages.
