Trenton, NJ (August 19, 2024) – Trenton police are intensifying their search for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Monday, August 19, leaving three individuals injured on South Broad Street. The crash, which took place shortly before 2 a.m., has raised significant concerns in the community due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the victims.

The most critically injured victim is a 65-year-old woman who is currently receiving treatment at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. She is recovering from multiple broken bones and a brain bleed, both of which require extensive medical care. Another victim, a 40-year-old man, sustained a broken rib and is also under medical supervision at the same facility. A third victim, a 56-year-old woman, was treated for a knee injury, which, while not life-threatening, still required immediate medical attention. All three victims were transported to the hospital following the accident and are expected to face a lengthy recovery process.

As part of their investigation, Trenton police discovered the suspect’s vehicle, a damaged Acura sedan, abandoned only a few blocks away from the crash site. The discovery has provided crucial evidence as authorities work diligently to identify and locate the driver who fled the scene.
