New York Car Accidents
Every year, hundreds of people lose their lives in fatal auto crashes in New York. On average, approximately 2 of every 100,000 residents in New York are killed due to an auto crash. These wrecks are usually preventable, however, they continue to happen on a regular basis and seriously alter the lives of involved parties.
Regardless of how safe drivers are while they’re on the road, it is impossible to predict the behavior of other motorists. The majority of car crashes that happen in the United States are the result of driver negligence. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that over 90% of the car wrecks reported in the United States are due to the actions of distracted, fatigued, or intoxicated drivers.
Usually, when a negligent driver causes an injury crash, those victimized have legal options available to help them recover financially. If you were hurt in a car crash caused by a negligent driver, you should call an attorney. By working with a skilled personal injury lawyer, you may be able to collect financial compensation for the losses and damages that resulted from your accident.
A lawyer can help you get the money you need to pay for expensive medical care required for your recovery, as well as vehicle repairs, wage loss you incurred due to the severity of your injuries, and more. Even pain, suffering, emotional trauma, and other non-economic damages may be eligible for financial compensation depending on the circumstances of your accident.
