Wayne, NJ – Three Hurt in Collision when Ladder Falls off Truck on Rt 23 near Mtn View
Wayne, NJ (September 21, 2023) – A chain-reaction collision sent three individuals to the hospital after a ladder fell off a truck on US 23 South. in Wayne County. Reports show it occurred near the exit to Mountain View on Thursday morning.
Police say the driver of the truck that the ladder fell from along with the driver who struck the fallen ladder were attempting to remove it from underneath the second vehicle when a third vehicle crashed into them. The third vehicle struck the second vehicle’s driver and then propelled the second vehicle forward, pushing it into the truck driver. All three individuals sustained injuries serious enough to send them to the emergency room.
One lane of Route 23 was closed for several hours along with the Route 23 South service road. Police continue to investigate the details of the collision.
