Queens, NY – Van Vs Bus Injures 15 People on Van Wyck Expwy near Belt Pkwy

Queens, NY (May 25, 2023) – Several people suffered injuries in a bus vs van crash that occurred at an airport in Queens. The wreck occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. on the morning of Friday, May 19. 

At least 15 individuals suffered injuries in the accident that occurred on the Van Wyck Expressway near the Belt Parkway. Reports show a commuter van was rear-ended by a bus. All injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, sources said. However, one person suffered serious injuries. 

Paramedics rendered aid to those with injuries and transported them to the hospital for further assistance. At this time, no one involved has been identified as authorities in Queens continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. 

The northbound lanes of the Van Wyck Expressway were closed while emergency responders worked in the area. Police in Queens continue to investigate.
