Staten Island, NY - Yingqui Liu Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on South St

Staten Island, NY (November 22, 2022) - A man died in a fatal pedestrian accident after he was fatally struck by a truck as he crossed a roadway in Staten Island on Monday, November 21st.

73-year-old Yingqui Liu was attempting to cross South Street when he was hit by a 2006 Ford E350 when the driver made a lefthand turn off of Forest Avenue at about 3:00 p.m. 

Liu was transported by paramedics to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the police.

An investigation is being conducted by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
