Warehouse Injury Claims After a Falling Object Accident in Clifton, NJMan, 60, Hurt After Falling Pallet at Clifton, NJ Warehouse

When a worker or visitor is struck by a falling object at a warehouse in Clifton, multiple parties may bear responsibility depending on the circumstances. The warehouse owner, a staffing agency, an equipment manufacturer, or a third-party contractor responsible for loading and securing pallets could all potentially be liable.

New Jersey workers' compensation covers on-the-job injuries regardless of fault, but it is not always the only avenue available. If a third party's negligence contributed to the accident, a separate personal injury claim may also be possible and may allow for a broader range of recoverable damages.

Warehouse facilities along Delawanna Avenue and the broader industrial corridors of Passaic County handle significant volumes of freight and logistics activity. Clifton's warehouse district sits near major distribution routes, including Route 3, Route 46, and the Garden State Parkway, which makes it a hub for commercial operations throughout northern New Jersey. Facilities that process high volumes of goods under time pressure can create conditions where pallet stacking, forklift operation, and shelving loads are not always managed with adequate care.

Falling object injuries can be severe. Victims may face broken bones, head trauma, spinal injury, or internal damage. All these harms can require extended recovery time and may have lasting effects on a person's ability to work. Medical costs, lost wages, and long-term rehabilitation expenses can accumulate quickly.

A workers’ compensation lawyer familiar with New Jersey workplace injury law can review whether workers' compensation alone covers the full extent of losses, or whether additional claims are worth pursuing. An attorney can help identify all liable parties and clarify what compensation may be available.
