
Brooklyn, NY (January 16, 2023) - One person suffered serious injuries in an apartment fire in Midwood. The incident occurred on Monday, January 16, just before 11:00 a.m.
Reports indicate the incident occurred in the 1200 block of East 13th Street. The Fire Department of New York went to the scene of the fire located on the first floor of a dwelling with multiple units.
One person was found inside with life-threatening injuries. They were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the identity of the victim has not been reported.
According to reports, firefighters were able to contain the blaze in under an hour. Authorities in Brooklyn are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
