Lyndhurst, NJ - Robert Csapo & Son Killed in Auto Accident on Route 80

Lyndhurst, NJ (May 1, 2023) - A father and son were killed in a fatal traffic accident in Lyndhurst on Sunday morning, April 30. They were identified as 46-year-old Rob Csapo and his 6-year-old son. 

The incident took place on Route 80 on an exit ramp for reasons still under police investigation. Csapo’s two other sons, age 9 and 5, sustained injuries in the accident. 

Paramedics and police were observed working at the scene a short time after the incident occurred. Delays in traffic ensued near the wreck site while responders were present, and police directed traffic away from the area.
