Cherry Hill, NJ (October 25, 2023) - One bicyclist was sent into an oncoming car by a chain reaction crash that happened between a group of cyclists in Cherry Hill. The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries, according to reports from authorities.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Cherry Hill Police Department found that the crash occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21. The crash between the cyclists sent the first rider into the direct path of a car heading in the same direction, police said. The cyclist was then hit by the vehicle, authorities said.
The victim has not been publicly identified at this time. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, from which she later lost her life. Several witnesses and the driver who struck her remained at the crash scene and cooperated with police.
The crash continues to be investigated by Cherry Hill’s PD Traffic Safety Unit.
