Woodmere, NY (September 24, 2025) – A 15-year-old boy remains in critical condition after a serious crash on Tuesday night, September 23, in Woodmere, according to Nassau County Police.
The collision happened at about 7:23 p.m. on Branch Boulevard, just north of Branch Gate. Police said a 75-year-old man was driving a 2003 Lexus northbound when he collided with the teen bicyclist, who was also heading north on Branch Boulevard.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided medical care at the scene. Paramedics then rushed the injured boy to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.
The Lexus driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities confirmed that no other injuries were reported in the crash.
The Nassau County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision.
