Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash vs Hummer on Tilton Rd in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ

Egg Harbor Township, NJ (June 4, 2026) – A motorcyclist was critically injured on Monday afternoon, June 1, after a Hummer pulled out in front of her on Tilton Road near the Black Horse Pike. According to Egg Harbor Township Police, the crash happened just before 4:15 p.m.

Officials said a 2006 Hummer SUV driven by 27-year-old Jenna Nazon of Mays Landing was exiting Harbor Square and attempting a left turn onto Tilton Road northbound. As she turned, she pulled directly into the path of a 2017 Honda motorcycle driven by 42-year-old Julie Raymond of Egg Harbor Township, who was traveling southbound on Tilton.

Raymond braked and swerved but struck the driver’s side of the Hummer. The impact ejected her from the bike. She was treated at the scene before being taken to the trauma center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with critical injuries. Nazon and a passenger in the Hummer were wounded and taken to a local hospital.

Tilton Road between the Black Horse Pike and Fire Road was closed for roughly three and a half hours while the scene was cleared. Traffic citations and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation. The investigation remains active.

We wish Julie Raymond strength and hope for a full recovery.

How Long Does a Motorcyclist Have to File a Claim After a Crash in Egg Harbor Township, NJ?Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash vs Hummer on Tilton Rd in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ

In New Jersey, motorcycle riders generally have two years from the date of a collision to file a personal injury lawsuit. This deadline is set by the state’s statute of limitations, and if you miss it,  it can mean losing the right to seek compensation entirely.

The Black Horse Pike corridor through Egg Harbor Township and the surrounding Atlantic County area sees consistent motorcycle traffic. These roads involve frequent turning movements and commercial driveways. These conditions put riders at elevated risk when other drivers fail to yield. Critically injured riders usually face months of intensive care, rehabilitation, and time away from work before they are well enough to focus on legal options, which makes it easy for time to slip by.

Injuries from a motorcycle ejection can include traumatic brain injury, spinal damage, fractured bones, and deep soft tissue wounds. Even with prompt medical care, recovery timelines can stretch well beyond the initial hospitalization. Long-term care costs and lost income can create financial pressure that compounds the physical toll.

A motorcycle accident attorney can review the details of a motorcycle crash and help determine what options could be available given the specific facts involved. Legal guidance can clarify what documentation to gather, how insurance coverage may apply, and what steps to take before the filing deadline passes.

Motorcycle accident victims frequently face uncertainty about what legal steps to take afterwards. If you are dealing with the legal aftermath of a crash in New Jersey, our team at Metro Law is available to guide you.
