Harrison, NJ (January 16, 2026) – A pedestrian died, and another man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Harrison on Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred on January 15 at about 3:30 p.m., along Woodland Drive inside West Hudson Park.
Authorities said two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle while walking in the park area. Emergency units arrived and found two adult men with serious injuries. Both were taken to a hospital in Newark for treatment.
One of the victims, a 58-year-old man from Kearny, later died from his injuries. He was pronounced dead on Thursday. The second victim, a 48-year-old man, also from Kearny, remained hospitalized and was reported to be in stable condition.
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene. Officials have not released details about what led up to the pedestrians being struck.
