What Should Drivers Do After a Two-Vehicle Crash in Oxford, NJ?Two Injured in Crash on Rte 31

Drivers involved in a crash should exchange insurance information, document the intersection, and seek medical evaluation even if injuries seem minor at first.

People hurt in intersection crashes frequently experience whiplash, concussions, or soft-tissue injuries that don't fully present until a day or two later. Medical documentation created close to the time of the crash tends to carry more weight later if a claim becomes necessary, since it links the injuries directly to the collision rather than leaving room for dispute.

New Jersey requires all drivers to carry personal injury protection (PIP) coverage, which covers initial medical costs regardless of fault, though PIP limits can run out quickly depending on the severity of the injuries involved.

Once medical bills exceed available PIP coverage, a car accident lawyer can help determine whether the injuries meet New Jersey's threshold for pursuing additional compensation from the at-fault driver. To sort out how fault gets divided under the state's modified comparative negligence rule can also become a factor worth reviewing closely.

If you have been injured in a car accident in New Jersey and are not sure how to proceed, we can guide you through the legal process. At Metro Law, we can help review the details of your case as they become available and explain what steps might make sense.
